After your first class, come back as soon as you can! As long as you are trying the right way you are getting 100% of the medical benefits. You will be more comfortable during the second class since you know what to expect. With time and practice your postures and breathing will improve along with how you feel!

Q. When should I come back? How often do you recommend doing class?

A. Try coming as much as possible your first week and drink a lot of water. Bikram says , “Come everyday for three months and I will give you a new body and a new life.”

Q. Why did I feel nauseous and dizzy at times during class?

A. It is not unusual to feel this way during your first couple of classes; you are probably dehydrated. Once you are drinking enough water your body will tolerate the heat better and you will actually enjoy it! You may feel like a good nap after the first few classes, but don’t be scared; your body has begun to cleanse itself and this sensation will pass. The more you can relax during class the more energized you will feel throughout class and the rest of your day.
