FIRST TIME STUDENTS
Drink plenty of water throughout the day and it is best to avoid eating meals 2-3 hours before class. Wear light, form-fitting exercise clothing (avoid pants!).
Bring two towels, a yoga mat and a water bottle. We have mats and towels for rent for $2 each as well as free filtered water.
Arrive 15 minutes before class to sign up, we take cash, credit and debit.
Parking is available outside our studio (metered), in the neighbouring streets (free) and at the Britannia Community Centre (free).
As a beginner you may find the heat and practice to be very intense. This is very normal and you are allowed to sit out postures and rejoin when you feel ready.
Your goal is to stay in the room! This is especially important as a new student because it helps you to acclimatize to the temperature and build a strong foundation in your practice.
Congratulations on your first class. For best results, practice 3-5 times during your introductory week. This encourages your body to adapt quickly and you will notice progress.
